Melvina Gaddy

Melvina Gaddy, age 89, passed away at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Maryland on February 27, 2023.  She was a resident of Laurel, MD.

Born April 7, 1933 in New York City, New York, Daughter of Phillip Van Dusen and Linda James Van Dusen. She lived in New York (Manhattan, Bronx, and Queens counties); Richmond, Virginia (Henrico County); and Maryland (Cities of College Park, Greenbelt and Laurel) and worked at New York Telephone, known now as Verizon; and AT&T until retiring in 1988.

Melvina is survived by her daughter, Karen Cynthia Gaddy. Melvina was preceded in death by mother, Linda Van Dusen; sister, Rosalind Van Dusen; uncle, Charles James; grandmother, Isabelle James and grandfather, Nathaniel James.

Burial services will be at Maryland National Cemetery, 13300 Baltimore Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707.
