T HE FOLLOWING OBITUARY WAS LOVINGLY POSTED BY THE FAMILY OF JAMES BUTLER

Michael James Butler, 35, passed from this life on July 11, 2022 at home in Burtonsville after a brief illness. Michael was born on June 6, 1987 to Lorri and James Butler in  Silver Spring, Maryland. He graduated from Paint Branch High School in 2005 but had already started his 19 year career as a firefighter with the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department  while just a teenager in 2003. When Michael wasn’t fighting fires, he loved going fishing, snow plowing, playing with his dogs, and boating.

Michael was predeceased by his father, James Butler, and his grandparents Shirley and James Hartley, and Paul and Elaine Butler.  He is survived by his mother Lorri Butler of Burtonsville, and his sister Michelle Butler.
