Michael David Duarte

Michael David Duarte passed away peacefully at home on August 6,
2015 after a long battle with colon cancer.

Mike was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, October 2, 1962, while his Dad,
David L. Duarte, (deceased), was there on assignment.

In addition to his father, Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents;

Hector and Eileen Duarte and Stephen and Sophie Drechney.

Mike is survived by his Mother, Therese (Terry) Duarte of West Laurel,
MD, his sister, Renae Rininger (Bob) of Eldersburg, MD, his brother
Steven Duarte of West Laurel, his brother Doug Duarte (Theresa) of
Rockville, MD, his sister Christina Fuselier (Brian) of Millersville, MD and
his nieces Olivia, Kiran and Rebecca. Mike is also survived by his Aunt
Nedine Mergili of EI Paso, Texas and Uncle Rudy Duarte (Miriam) of
Panama and many cousins.

Mike worked for many years for Howard County Dept of Parks and
Recreation. He also participated for over 30 years in a research
program at the University of Maryland.

Mike loved sports, especially the Redskins and Orioles. Mike was an
avid bowler and member of the bowling leagues in his hometown alley
in Laurel, Maryland.

Above all, Mike was a dedicated and loving son, brother and uncle.
