Michael A. Robertazzi

Michael A. Robertazzi, 97yr 9 mo. of Laurel, MD passed away on December 5, 2024. He was born in 1927 to the late Arcangelo and Lucia (Policastro) Robertazzi in Altoona, PA. He was a graduate of Altoona High School in Altoona, PA and Penn State in State College, PA with BS in Liberal Arts. He married Rita Santella Turso on July 30,1955 and she preceded him in death on May 19,1998. In 2002 he married Marie Helene Gibney who proceeded him in death April 05, 2013.

Michael A. Robertazzi was a member of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Laurel, MD, as well as a member of Antonio Gatto Lodge #2459 in Laurel MD and the American Legion Post #60 Laurel MD. He was a retired Analyst from National Security Agency (NSA). He enjoyed golfing with the ‘Clowns’ during their annual charity event in Pennsylvania. He also mastered almost any home repair or maintenance task, and “finished off” the entire basement of his home in Maryland City Laurel MD as well as projects for family and friends. He was a very good dancer and enjoyed dancing into his later years.

‘Mike’ was a member of the original planning committee for the future Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Laurel MD. He belonged to the church adult choir for many years and enjoyed singing at mass with or without the choir. He eventually met his second wife there in her role as an organist. He was an active member of the church Men’s Club, the Monday Morning Work Crew, and Knights of Columbus. He was also a proud Navy veteran.

He is survived by 3 children, Rita Marie Robertazzi, Michelle Lisa Robertazzi (Dean) Moneski, Michael John (Lisa) Robertazzi, and 2 grandchildren, Jordan Michael Moneski and Caroline Elisa Robertazzi.

He was preceded in death by seven (7) siblings: Mary Cuzzolina, Josephine Marock, Christine Germano, Esther Lenz, Albert Robertazzi, Joseph “Chuck” Robertazzi Sr., and Rose Ann Himmelein.
