On Sunday, May 1st, 2022, Milton Earl Franklin of Beltsville, Maryland went to be with the Lord after a sudden and brief illness.

Milton was born on August 15, 1946 in Raleigh, North Carolina to the late Earl and Mary Franklin.

Milton was a big Carolina Panthers fan and also enjoyed watching NASCAR, as well, rooting for #48 Jimmie Johnson until he left and then #9 Chase Elliot. Milton retired from Safeway Stores Inc. and then Allied Trailers Inc.

Milton is survived by the true love of his life Sandra Lee Meade of Beltsville, Maryland. He is survived by his sister Mary Ann Walkup of Henderson, North Carolina, brothers Roger Franklin of Franklinton, North Carolina, Thomas Franklin {Barbara} of Henderson, North Carolina, and Ernest Franklin of Louisburg, North Carolina. He is also survived by cousins Janet Brantley (Junior) of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Kay Higgins of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Dianne Shadrack of Youngsville, North Carolina as well as several other cousins, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sister-in-law Linda Franklin of Franklinton, North Carolina, and his best friend Tim Carter (Dawn) of Lanham, Maryland.

In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by his brothers Johnny Franklin and Earl Franklin Jr, nephew Johnny Bane Franklin Jr, and nieces Donna Faye Morris and Georgia Napier.

There will be a memorial service for Milton on July 9, 2022 at 12 noon at Faith Independent Baptist Church located at 7700 Northern Ave. Glenn Dale, Maryland. Interment will be private.
