Nancy Walston Raddie

February 1, 1941 — August 14, 2013

Nancy "Mommom" Walston Raddie of Laurel, MD peacefully entered Eternal Rest on August 14, 2013. She was 72. Nancy was born in Salisbury, MD. She was the first of four children born to Thelma Hobbs Walston, of Salisbury, and John Cleveland Walston, Sr., who preceded her in Eternal Rest. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Andy Raddie of the home, her son C. Gene Turner, Jr. and her daughter Karen Turner, both of Laurel, MD, her brother John Walston, Jr. and wife of Eden, MD, her sister Sharon Sellers and husband of Virginia Beach, VA and her brother Steve Walston and wife of Parsonsburg, MD. Nancy also leaves behind 3 step-children, Andrew Raddie of Nevada, Steven Raddie and his wife of Virginia, and Beth Raddie Pena and her husband of Crownsville, MD. She is the loving grandmother of Nicole Beauchamp of Elkridge, MD, and step-grandmother to Adam Weitz of Crownsville, MD and Danielle Weitz of Towson, MD. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Taelynn Rose McCleary of Elkridge, MD, several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. She is a 1959 graduate from Wicomico High School. She spent her early years as a licensed Beautician, and a secretary for an insurance company. She then gained employment with the State of Maryland from which she retired in 2001.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11am, August 24, 2013 at Olde Friendship UMC, 7266 Meadow Bridge Road, Eden, MD followed by fellowship and food.
