Nancy L. Stamm

Nancy Lillian Stamm, 85, of Laurel, Md peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 9th 2021, surrounded by family. Daughter of the late Mofet Thorpe and Sadie (Sealock), Nancy was a woman of faith, a long time member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of Maryland City who loved her God with all of heart. She prayed for everyone, sung her gospel songs and loved her family with every ounce of her body.

Nancy is preceded in death by her late husband, Roland Stamm. Siblings, Francis Harrell, Mary Smitherman, Robert Thorpe, Jimmy Thorpe, and Melvin Smitson. She is survived by her brothers Sam Smitson and Benjamin Smitson.

Nancy leaves behind her children, Buster Stephenson (Alice), Bessie Pippenger (Dave), Donald Stephenson, Bonnie Doornbos (Wayne) and Ivan Merrill (Jen). Nancy had the joy to be the grandmother to 15, a great grandmother to 38 and a great-great grandmother to 12.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In Nancy’s 85 years on this earth, she left behind the true values of life and love that she instilled in her children and grandchildren that they will carry on for generations. Though she is no longer with us she is right where she wants to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Friends and family will gather at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue Laurel, MD 20707, Tuesday June 15, 2021 at 11am for visitation with service immediately following at 12pm. Burial will be immediately following at Columbia Memorial Park, 12005 Clarksville, MD 21029.

Friends and family are asked to gather to celebrate Nancy’s life at the Laurel Elks Lodge, 8261 Brock Bridge Rd Laurel MD 20724 from 3-5pm.
