Nellie Dodson

Nellie Dodson, beloved wife of the late Lawrence Dodson, passed away at the Howard County General Hospital on December 30, 2013. She was born on December 23, 1935, in Kensington, Maryland, to the late Doc and Katie Riley. Mrs. Dodson was a resident of the Burtonsville and Laurel areas for 52 years, was a member of the Laurel Moose Lodge and worked as a cashier at the Laurel Meat Market for 30 years until she retired in 1999. Mrs. Dodson is survived by her daughters Carol Sixkiller and Kathy Edwards; sisters Mary Allen and Alice Allen. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held in the chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. on Thursday, January 2 from 10 until 11 am. Funeral services will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held in Union Cemetery, Burtonsville, MD.
