Nellie D. Murphy, 92 of Laurel, passed away Sunday October 22, 2017.
She was born to George and Lois (Webb) Frazier in Tennesee.
Nellie attended St. Matthews United Methodist Church. She enjoyed visiting Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kure Beach, NC, attending shows and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband John “Jack” Murphy, Laurel; two daughters, Sandy Weaver (Bill), Bowie, Carnie Grenman (Gunnar), Higganum, CT; four sons, Jack Murphy Jr., Pinellas Park, FL; Michael Murphy (Carla), Chesterfield, VA; Mark Murphy (Margaret), New Port, RI;
Shawn Murphy (Traci), Odenton; Nine grandchildren, Patrick Murphy, Clayton Murphy, Zachary Murphy, Colleen Murphy, Ashley Grenman, Scott Murphy, Anna Kate Murphy, Thomas Cardea, Erin Cardea, Great Grandchildren, Shawn Murphy, Kennedy Murphy, John Murphy, Jessaly Araujo, Ryan Araujo, and Finnegan Cardea.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband William R. Kiger.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home P.A., Laurel.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel, Laurel, Interment will follow at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Laurel.
