Nicholas Robert Wilson

Nicholas Robert Wilson, age 41, passed away in Scaggsville Laurel, Maryland on October 17, 2025.

Nick was born on the 4th of July in 1984, in Reading Pennsylvania, to Gina and Steve Wilson. His life was characterized by a love of reading, cooking, gardening, birding, music, and sports. He excelled often in athletics, from anchoring the relay team for Laurel City's Swim Team to Atholton High School’s State Championship baseball team in 2002 and had an unparalleled dedication to all teams (Phillies, Sixers, Flyers) from the “City of Brotherly Love”, with a particular devotion to his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. In fact, he was an active and ardent supporter of the “Brotherly Shove.”

Throughout his brief, yet wonderful life, Nick's heart and mind were always at the beach, the sun, and the surf. North Carolina’s Outer Banks was his absolute “heaven on earth” and encouraged him to become an amateur meteorologist and hurricane expert (in his own mind).

After over ten years as a resident of the State of Texas he returned to Maryland, and Nick’s focus and attention increasingly turned to his family. He was absolutely devoted to his niece Gracie and four nephews Owen, Caleb, Weston and Ollie, earning the unchallenged title of “Funcle” (Fun Uncle).

Nick is survived by his parents, Gina and Steve Wilson of Scaggsville; his sister, Allison Burke, brother-in-law, Jacob Burke, nephews Owen and Caleb and niece, Grace of Winfield, Maryland; and his brother Patrick Wilson, sister-in-law Sabrina Anwar and nephews Weston and Oliver of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel located at 313 Talbott Avenue in Laurel, Maryland 20707. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the visitation from 12 noon and Celebration of Nick’s Life at 1:00pm. Memories of Nick will be welcomed.
