Norma M. McCulloh (nee Helfenbein), a longtime resident of Laurel, passed away on October 14, 2016 at the Morningside House in Laurel. She was 94. She was born July 26, 1922 to the late Christian and Ellen Helfenbein in Baltimore, MD. An accomplished artist, she worked as a homemaker for many years, raising her family. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, and being outside with nature. She was also known for having the best coconut cake and crab cakes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Alfred McCulloh; son Stephen McCulloh; and brothers Bishop and Alvin Helfenbein. Norma is survived by her loving daughter Barbara McCulloh and many nieces and nephews.
A private burial is planned at MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
