Norma E. Merson

Norma E. Merson passed away on Sunday January 24, 2016.
Norma was born at home in Beltsville, Maryland on May 11, 1940, the daughter of Oscar and Myrtle Zook. She married Francis Caroll Merson in 1957. He preceded her in death in 1994 after 37 years of marriage. Norma was a stay at home mom, taking care of her children. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, traveling and loved Elvis.
She is survived by her three sons, Francis K. (Deborah), Kenneth D. (Kim) and William J.K. (Laura) Merson; five grandchildren, Austin, Amy, Brent, Jason and Amanda; two brothers, Horace and Alvin Zook; and her companion of several years, Fred Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Robert and Gene Zook.
Funeral services will be held Monday February 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel. Visitation will be held Sunday January 31, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Meadowridge Cemetery.
