Odette Marie Lea Nicolas, a resident of Laurel, passed away on September 9, 2016 at Laurel Regional Hospital. She was 103. Odette was born on March 22, 1913 to the late Valmont and Clomina Sautier in Haiti. She has been living in the United States for 47 years. She was a member of St. Camillus Catholic Church in Silver Spring. She enjoyed crossword puzzles watching TV.
Odette was preceded in death by her husband Hermann Nicolas. She is survived by her children Fritz and his wife Adrienne, Anthony and his wife Adeline, Lourdes and her husband Phedor, Yvon and his wife Elvire, Jocelyne and her husband Gerard, Jean Michel and his wife Yvrose, and Pierre and his wife Mona. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
