Patricia Ann Long

Patricia Ann Long, also known as Patsy, Pat, mom and nana, age 86, passed away on March 7, 2025.

Patricia was born February 1, 1939, in Washington, D.C to Jane and Edward Clark. She served as the President of the Ladies of the Elks 1778 and worked various secretary jobs until she retired in 2010.

Patricia loved shopping, getting her nails and hair done, bologna sandwiches, the beach, game shows, puzzles, puzzle books and card games. If you told her that you liked something, she would hand it over.

As she got older, when she said she liked something, she wanted us to go buy it for her. She also loved jewelry so much that two days before she passed, she asked for a diamond ring. She also accepted all our friends as her own family. She loved her family.

Patricia is survived by her children Robert Long (Janice), Jenny Moore (Bob), William Long (Robin), Lynda Atkinson (John) and Kimberly Lally (Tim); grandchildren William Long, Angela Long, Crystal Cuthbertson, Douglas Moore, Steven Moore, Jennifer Collins, Alyxzandra Blanch, Jillian Hargett, Chaz Atkinson, Chloe Atkinson, Timmy Lally, Jonathan Lally, Andrew Lally and Karalynn Lally; and many great grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert Long; parents Jane and Edward Clark; first born child Robert; sister Nina; and her companion Donald Lipps.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel, 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707, from 12pm to 2pm.

Repast will be after the memorial at Olive on Main, 504 Main Street, Laurel, MD 29707, from 2pm to 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Patricia Long to a Hospice of Howard County and BARCS animal rescue.
