Paul William Ganoe, age 88, of Savage, Maryland went to be with his heavenly father on September 6, 2012. He was born October 27, 1923 in Romney, West Virginia to Ervin and Audra Mae (Wise) Ganoe. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a former brick layer, building many houses in the local area. In 1966 he accepted a job with Bethesda Naval Hospital and retired as a planner/estimater in 1985. He was part owner in J.P.'s Kake Korner for 30 years. He was proud to call himself a Christian and proud to be a member of First Baptist Church of Savage since 1953 where he was formerly a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a hardworking, honest, trustworthy, funny and creative man. A true friend and loving family man that will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Kackley Ganoe of Savage; children Pamela Horne (Greg) of Highland, Billy Ganoe (Cindy) of Savage, Jennifer Neimiller (John) of Savage and Jeffrey Ganoe of Germany; grandchildren Paul , Daniel, Jeremy, Jessie, Kristin, Paul III, and Zack; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings Alma Croston of Savage, Eston Ganoe of Savage, Elva Petty of Kentucky and Pasty Michael of Florida.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at DONALDSON FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Savage. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery in Gore, VA.
