Peggy C. Henson

Peggy C. Henson, of Laurel, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. She was born on February 20, 1933, in Tupper Lake, NY, to the late Camilla LaDue. Mrs. Henson was a crossing guard for Prince George's County before retiring to become a homemaker. She was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to watch football on tv. She also loved to bowl and played on several leagues. Mrs. Henson is survived by her children Peggy Hobbs, Lisa Swann and Timothy Henson and her brother Ronald LaDue. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Mrs. Henson was predeceased by her husband Alvah W. Henson, a daughter Donna Knox and a son Alvah W. Henson, Jr. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel. Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 23, 10 am at Fort Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gilchrist Center, 6336 Cedar Lane, Columbia, MD 21044.
