Philip E. Poe

Philip E. Poe, 71, passed away on May 31, 2012 at Howard County General Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1940 to the late Charles and Margaret Poe. He was the youngest of 11 children. He has been a Laurel resident his whole life. Philip enjoyed fishing on the reservoirs, spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren. He loved watching his grandchildren play baseball. He was also a hard worker with a good work ethic. He has been employed with H & C Inc. for almost 40 years.
Philip is survived by his wife of 49 years Betty Poe; daughters Angie Pipik and her husband Ray, Judy Lang and her husband Dennis and son Chris Poe and his wife Christie; siblings Catherine Bertling, Myrtle Rolf, and Hubert Poe; and his grandchildren Melissa Pipik, Sarah Lang, Will Lang, T.J. Pipik, Jeremy Poe, Holly Poe, and Ryley Poe.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at DONALDSON FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707 where services will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
