Philip A. Raup

Philip Arthur Raup, 83, passed away on December 14th, 2023. Born on June 20th, 1940, in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to Philip Allen Raup and Marie Alberta Sechler, Philip attended Warrior Run High School in Watsontown, PA before enlisting in the US Navy from 1958-1961.

Philip spent most of his career days as a Service Manager at John Fluke Mfg. Co. for 28 years, as well as a member of American Legion and active member at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Laurel. He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku, and enjoyed doing yardwork.  He was a kind, loving, gentle church-going man who was always helpful to others.

Philip leaves behind his wife, Claudia Sue Raup; Children Michael (Dawn) and Karen Cullen (Brian); Grandchildren Melanie Padgett, Michael Raup, Jr., Megan Knightstep, Steven Cullen, Amanda Cullen, Great-Granddaughter Peyton Knightstep and Sister Carolyn Powell.

Relatives and friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland for a visitation on Wednesday, December 20th from 4pm until 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21st at 11am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Laurel.
