Phyllis Anna (Clay) Davis

Phyllis Anna Clay Davis, loving wife for 62 years to John T. Davis, passed away on January 4, 2016. She was born in West Gorham, ME, on January 14, 1933, to the late George and Lillie Clay. Phyllis graduated from Gorham High School and the Maine Medical Center. She went on to work at numerous emergency rooms along the east coast. In addition to her husband, Phyllis is survived by her children Jonathan Davis, Janelle Brawley, Jennifer Lawrence, Jo-Lynn Davis, Jacinda Davis (Slava) and Justin Davis; sisters Ruth C. Gavett and Alice Hearne and brother James Clay. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel, MD, on Friday, January 8, beginning at 3:30pm. Flowers are welcome as are contributions to the Maine Medical Center or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
