Phyllis Ann Janus

Phyllis Ann Janus, 75, of Laurel died on Friday, April 20, 2012 at Laurel Regional Hospital. She was born on August 14, 1936 in Alpena, Michigan. She lived in Detroit and Indianapolis before moving to Laurel, Maryland in 1969. She graduated from Central Michigan College with a Bachelor's degree in Education. She was an elementary school teacher in Michigan for 11 years before starting her family. Phyllis was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Montpelier Homemakers Club, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and Laurel Senior Friendship Club. She also volunteered for the American Heart Association and at St. Nicholas for church activities. She also loved to bowl.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 44 years Conrad L. Janus; daughter Jennifer Rogofsky and her husband Philip and son Christopher Janus and his wife Gaby. She is also survived by her grandchildren Noah and Shayna Rogofsky and Natalia and Ryen Janus.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at DONALDSON FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 8603 Contee Road, Laurel, MD 20708. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
