Phyllis Ann Prewitt

Phyllis Prewitt of Riderwood Village and formerly a longtime resident of Laurel, Maryland, passed away peacefully at her home on December 24, 2016.  She was born on January 11, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to Maude and Bert Jones.  She was a loving mother to her children, and later in life worked as a receptionist at Marshall Insurance in Laurel and Day, Dietrich, and Marshall in Beltsville.  Most recently she was a doting and loving grandmother to her three grandchildren.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Reid Prewitt III, and survived by her children Barbara A. Scepura, Allen J. Prewitt, and Henry Reid Prewitt IV.  A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, December 30, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
