Prospero A. Flores

Prospero A. Flores, a resident of Laurel, MD passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C.   He was 81.  He was born on September 30, 1935 to the late Jose and Rosalina Flores in the Philippines.  He graduated Medical School from the University of Philippines College of Medicine , moved to the United States and served his internship in Baltimore City Hospitals, his Residency at Howard University Hospital and in Norristown, PA, and had his speciality training at the VA Hospital.  In 1972 he stated his Internal Medicine practice as a Gastroenterologist at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C.  where he retired in 2011.  He was a member of the American College of Physicians and a Life Member of American Medical Association.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Mary Vi Flores; loving son Mark Flores; cherished grandchildren Marcus Christian, Douglas Joseph, Zev Jordan, Demeris Hope, and Elliana Frances Flores; sister Oriente Arzadon; and brother Bayani Flores.   Also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
