Rachael R. Oliver

Rachael Rita Oliver, 98, of Laurel passed away on Monday March 21, 2016.
Rachael was born on February 27, 1918 in Pittston, PA, the daughter of Frank and Carmella Capone. She attended Pittston High School, where she met Carl Oliver and later married. They moved to the D.C. area for Carl’s job with the government. She and Carl were married 73 years when he passed away in 2012.
She loved to cook, including big Italian family dinners, going to crab feast, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She lived a long wonderful life.
She is survived by her son, John M. Oliver and her sister, Jean Champi, and several loving nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Carl Oliver Jr. and Richard Oliver; a daughter, Pat Davis and her husband Charlie; a granddaughter, Gabby Klatt.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 12:00 in St. Marys of the Mills Catholic Church, Laurel, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
