Ralph M. Bartimo, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 in Lumberton, NC, where he has resided for the last 6 years.
Ralph was born July 4, 1948 in Leominster, Mass. the son of Ralph A.Bartimo and Alice (Moore) Bartimo. He graduated Laurel Senior High School Class of 1966 and served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era.
Ralph was a member of the Professional Photographers of America and National Rifle Association. For many years, he participated as an adult leader in Boy Scouts of America. He was honored to be a part of each boy’s journey through scouting and continued friendship as they grew to adulthood. He loved rideing his Harley with HOGS of Annapolis and takeing pictures. Ralph was happiest helping others.
He retired as a Senior Photographer working for NSA, National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, MD after 30 years of service. He also owned and managed his own business, RMB Photography in Gambrills, MD., photographing weddings and portriats.
Surviving him are two sons Steven A. Bartimo and Brian A. Bartimo, a sister Leanne (Bartimo) Mounts and a brother Barry J. Bartimo. His former wife Karen L. Bartimo was caregiver during an extended hospital stay resulting from complications of diabeatis. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Pa. 313 Talbott Avenue Laurel, Maryland 20707 on Thursday, January 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with a Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church Friday, January 15th at 11 am. Interment to follow at the Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery at Crownsville with military honors.
All are invited to Molloy’s Irish Pub (formally The Irish Channel) in Crofton for food and fellowship.
