Ralph “Jay” Stroud, age 71, passed away on December 24, 2014. He was born in Arizona and moved to College Park, MD as a young boy and grew up there. He graduated from High Point High School and then attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Wisconsin where he met his future wife, Sandi. Ralph and Sandi married and moved back to Maryland, where they resided in Laurel for over forty years. They moved to West Friendship, MD, five years ago.
Ralph worked as an Information Technology Senior Sales Executive before retiring. He loved spending time with his family, especially his seven grandchildren. He enjoyed restoring antique cars and participating in car club shows and events, and relaxing at the beach. Throughout his life, he volunteered his time and talents to many organizations, from volunteering for St. Vincent Pallotti High School Booster Club to most recently volunteering as the Director of the Classic Car Club of America. You could always count on him to go above and beyond and take care of every detail to perfection.
Ralph always cared about others and will be forever loved and missed by neighbors, friends, and family. Ralph is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandi Stroud of West Friendship, MD, his son Keith Stroud of Highland, MD (married to Melinda with children Ashton and Deacon), his daughter Diana Windsor of Clarksville, MD (married to Robert Windsor with children, Robby, Tyler and Julia), and his daughter Karen Majeed of Point of Rocks, MD (married to Shahzad Majeed with children Alexander and Isabella).
