Raymond Carl Abshire, 76, a long time resident of Laurel. Ray passed away on Sept. 19. Ray was born July 24, 1940 in Martinsburg WV, to the late Louise Leishear & Carl Abshire. He was a former member of the Laurel Police Department. Ray was the loving husband of Jane Abshire, who survives him. Ray leaves behind his sister Darlene Gillis; three children: Dee Stewart, Mary Crouse & Mark Abshire, two step-children: Bill Warrick & Janet Smith; 10 Grandchildren: Raymond Crouse, Ryan & Mitchell Phillips, Brock & Lacy Abshire, Jack, Max & “Bozie” Warrick, Jessie Hernandez, and Joe & Jarrett Smith. A Memorial Service will be held for Ray on Oct. 5th from 7pm-9pm at Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott St, Laurel, MD 20707
