Richard E. Fricke, Jr.

Richard Edward Fricke Jr, age 67, passed from this life Tuesday August 10, 2021.

Born July 15, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, the son of Richard Edward Fricke Sr and Patty Lee

(Ellenberger) Fricke. A longtime resident of Laurel, Maryland, Richard Jr, "Dick", also spent

parts of his childhood residing in England and New Dehli India. He received a Masters in

International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona and a

Bachelors in Economics from Ashland University.

Dick was majority owner of PG Tire, Inc in Beltsville, Maryland. Previously he had worked as a

District Manager for Roy Roger's restaurants. He enjoyed fishing, soccer, golf, baseball,

watching his "disney yard", snow Jameson and was base player and singer of the band "Guava

Jam". Dick coached baseball and had played college soccer. He was also a history buff who

loved to share stories.

Dick is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Susan Knode Fricke, his son Richard Edward

Fricke III and his wife Samantha (Staub) Fricke, his brother Robert Elton Fricke and his wife

Suzanne (Bakey) Fricke, his niece Samantha Marissa Fricke, his niece Rachel (Fricke) Harper,

her husband Nate Harper and their children Kara and Michael. He is preceded in death by his

sister Barbara Ann Fricke.

The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., at 313 Talbott Ave Laurel Maryland

20707 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday August 15 2021. A celebration of life will follow.
