Richard E. Overby

Richard "Rick" Eugene Overby, 70, of Quarryville, Pennsylvania passed away on August 2, 2021.  Born in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late Otto and Caroline Overby.  He was the loving husband of Helen Virginia Overby for 14 years.  Rick was retired from the U.S. Soldier’s and Airman’s Home for 36 years as an auto mechanic.  He also worked as an auto detailer at sport Chevrolet/Honda in Silver Spring, MD and most recently at New Holland Auto Group in New Holland, Pennsylvania.

Rick enjoyed watching westerns, the Mecum and Barrett-Jackson Auto Auctions, attending antique and classic car shows, and driving his 1957 Chevy.  His greatest love was spending time with his wife, Helen, and his constant companion, his Maltese mix Tara Anne.

He is survived by his wife, Helen.  He will be missed by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, other family members and numerous friends.
