For many years, he served as the group leader of a scripture group for men, where his warmth and wisdom inspired those around him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Georgianne McNeirney, and a loving family, including his daughter, Anna Lee Rewalt, and son, Benjamin Jesse Rewalt. Richard embraced his role as a stepfather to Megan Anne Hultgren and James Aloysius McNeirney, and as a proud grandfather to Lars Hultgren, Kristin Hultgren, Kyra Hultgren, Jack NcNeirney, Emma McNeirney, Sarah McNeirney, Hannah McNeirney, Elise McNeirney, Amalia McNeirney, Ruby Rewalt, Colin Prucnal and Bruce Rewalt and step-grandfather to Patrick NcNeirney, Brendan NcNeirney, and Ryan NcNeirney.

This tale reflected not only his search for Maggie from Florida to Nashville but also his unwavering love for her.
