Robert E. Spinks

Robert Eugne Spinks passed away at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD on Sunday, October 16, 2016.  Robbie was born on June 11, 1959 to Frances Spinks Barry (Nelson) and the late Robert Allen Spinks.  Rob spent his entire life in Maryland, growing up in the Langley Park area and attending High Point High School.  He has been a resident of Laurel, MD since 1992.

Rob had been employed as a plumber with R.L. Voight & Sons Plumbing and Heating for the past 20 years.  In his spare time Robbie enjoyed building radio controlled model cars, boats and airplanes.  Rob also enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles and 4 wheelers.  He was also passionate about Harley Davidson Motorcycles and Drag Racing.

Robert is survived by his daughter Amanda Spinks along with his mother, Frances Barry and her husband Charles.  Robbie was the brother of Barry Spinks and the Step Brother of Michael Barry.  Rob also leaves behind his significant other, Lisa Sleeman, her daughter Athena Smith and was Pop Pop to Athena’s son Nikolai Smith.  He is also survived by his former spouse Terri Spinks and his close friend Mike Sager.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., (313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707) from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM.
