Rocio Isabel Edmondson

Rocio Edmondson, 87, of Las Cruces NM, passed away on February 12, in Laurel MD.

Funeral services will be held February 24 at 10:30 AM at ST. MARY OF THE MILLS 114 St. Mary's Place, Laurel, MD 20707

Rocio was born in Mexico City on May 8th 1935.

Rocio is survived by 2 daughters Norma Naldrett (Ronald) and Ninette Beheler (Steve), 5 grandchildren Kristen, Jenna, Dean, Thomas, Hannah and 2 great-Grandchildren. Rocio is preceded in death by her 3 sisters and parents.

As a young woman she married a US Marine by the name of Harold Edmondson. Soon after the birth of her 2nd daughter Ninette, Rocio and Harold separated and later divorced. Rocio and her daughters moved to Mexico City and lived with Rocio’s Mother.

In 1974 she moved her family to the town of Harold’s family in New Hampshire. Working and going to school she was able to earn her college degree and begin teaching high school Spanish. Moving to Virginia in 1981 she worked until her retirement for Fairfax public schools.
