Rosemarie Celentano passed away at the age of 74 at her home in Laurel, Maryland on July 16, 2024, from her 2nd battle with cancer. She was originally from Marysville, PA. She was also a graduate of Susquenita High School in Duncannon, PA. She met and fell in love with her husband, Jerry Celentano, and they married in June of 1970 at the Church of God in Marysville, PA. They then moved to Laurel, MD and have been married for 54 wonderful years.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Celentano and their two children: Bryan Celentano (Jacqui Joubert) and Ashley Bergey (Ross Bergey), her three wonderful grandsons: Drew Bergey (13), Cole Bergey (11), and Jake Bergey (7). She is also survived by her brother Clarence Mitchell of Summerdale, PA along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Rosemarie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved gardening, birdwatching, quilting, volunteering at her local church, and spending time with her family. She worked for many years in the medical field, starting her career as an Inpatient Coordinator at Washington Hospital in D.C. She was also an Office Manager at a local physician’s office, and then retired from working at Hanger Clinic Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2017.
She will be forever missed by her loved ones and all who knew her.
Funeral services will take place at Savage United Methodist Church: 9050 Baltimore Street Savage, MD on July 27, 2024 at 11:00am followed by a potluck that will be served for all in the church Social Hall immediately after the service.
