Roy A. Higdon

Roy A. Higdon, of Laurel, MD, passed away on October 24, 2014. He was born and raised in Washington, DC. He was the owner and operator of R.A. Higdon and Son Roofing Company for over 30 years. Roy was also a member of the Laurel Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Patricia in July, 2014 and a daughter Diane Higdon. Roy is survived by his three sons Steve Higdon and wife Barbara, Ed Higdon and wife Leann, and Bruce Higdon and wife Maria, step-children, Roberta Kratz, Rhonda Martin, Roxanna Roberts, Ramona Roberts, Rosalind Hogan and Randy Burkhart. He is also survived by his brothers Jack and Jerry Higdon, and 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, PA, 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel, MD.
