Roy Albert Peeples, Sr.
July 20, 1943 — June 25, 2016
After a long illness, Roy went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Roy was born July 20, 1943 to Fred L. Peeples and Dorothy G. Cranford Peeples at Providence Hospital in Washington, DC. He was the youngest of seven siblings of which only two survive. They are Ray Peeples, his brother and one sister Ann G. Dianopolis. He is also survived by two children, daughter Tammy Peeples Frederick (Lloyd) and his son Roy A. Peeples, Jr., both of Alabama. In addition he has six (6) grandchildren, one step granddaughter and nine (9) great grandchildren. His long time companion Virginia Herbert survives him also.
Roy enlisted in the US Coast Guard for nearly ten years, worked and retired from Greyhound and was general manager of the Connect a ride bus here in Laurel. A memorial service will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Crownsville (1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032) at 11:30 AM on July 5, 2016.
