Ruth May Crotts

Ruth May Crotts, age 92, passed away in Debary, FL on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.

Born December 19, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, Daughter of John Ross Mitchell and Ethel May Moore Mitchell.  For approximately 60 years she lived in the Burtonsville/Laurel Maryland area. She spent the last 5 years of her life visiting with her daughter in Debary FL. Ruth was a stay-at-home Mom for her young children.  When they entered school, Ruth went to work for Contee Sand and Gravel as a computer operator for many years. The last couple of years before retiring she worked at Ryder Systems Inc. Ruth was a member of the Moose and Elk lodge.

Ruth enjoyed sewing, cooking, arts and crafts, gardening, fishing and walking

Ruth is survived by her children and their spouses, Michael Sherwood Crotts (Ginny), Russell Robert Crotts (Mary), Vera Lynn Crotts Schell, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great granchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Boyd Russell Crotts.

Public visitation will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00a.m. at Donaldson Funeral Homes, 313 Talbott Avenue Rt 198 W | Laurel, MD 20707 Tel: 1-301-725-1690. Burial to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens-Marriottsville, MD.
