Sandra Lynn Freeburn, proud and loving mother, daughter, sister, and faithful friend, was the second born of Dorothy and Francis Bush on January 24th 1957 in Far Rockaway, New York. Always lively and energetic, Sandra loved all different types of music from reggae to country western. Her love of animals, crafts, cooking and people was apparent in owning pets, making jewelry, cooking wonderful dishes and mixing her own fragrant oils. Sandra touched all she met with her bright beautiful eyes and wonderful smile.
Sandra, or "Free", as most of her friends knew her, was educated in New York where she attended Queensboro Community College. After relocating to Maryland, Sandra worked with the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington D. C. for many years until becoming ill.
Loving life and all it had to offer, Sandra was a free spirited person certainly deserving the nickname "Free". Growing up Sandra was always very talkative, vibrant and strong. She was loved by many friends and family in both Maryland and New York, where she grew up. Always willing to help others in their time of need, Sandra showed strength throughout her entire life and in the last days of her life. She was a fighter and did everything with love. She loved her family and friends.
Sandra was called home to eternal peace on Friday, September 21st, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents Francis and Dorothy Bush, sons Kezzi and Kimani Henderson, daughter-in-law Alicia Henderson (wife of Kezzi), the love of her life, Thiel Jackson, granddaughter Jordan, grandson Justin, sisters Sharon Grice and Dawn Chhouk, nieces Maya Grice and Jasmine Chhouk, nephews Kem Boatwright and Jovan Bush, dear, dear friend Roxanne Butler. Sandra also leaves a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.
Above all things we will miss Sandra with all our hearts however we will always have the memories that can never be taken away. We can rest knowing she's at peace and is in a better place.
Lovingly submitted, The Family
