Sara Calhoun
November 20, 1952 — November 17, 2015
Sara M. Calhoun passed away suddenly Tuesday November 17, 2015 at her home in the Laurel, Maryland area.
Born November 20, 1952, Sara was the daughter of the late Willian Harper Calhoun and Helen F. Calhoun.
After graduating Wheaton High School in Wheaton, Maryland and attending Montgomery Junior College, she began a long career as a secretary/administrative assistant with the federal civil service, working first with the Army Corps of Engineers. Sara then transferred to work for over 30 years at the National Institute for Health in Bethesda, MD, retiring in 2013.
Sara was a devoted sister of Dianna (Dee) C. Forrester and husband Ron of Middletown, MD and the late Steven C. Calhoun and sister-in-law Cindy Calhoun of Titusville, FL. She will also be fondly remembered by her cousins Richard P. Calhoun and wife Gail of Mt. Airy, MD and Michael A. Calhoun and wife Mona of Elkins, MD and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Rockville, MD on Saturday November 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial tribute service will be planned at a later time.
