Sharon Ann Anderson

Sharon Ann Anderson, (66) of Captains Cove, Greenbackville, VA, formerly of Laurel, MD passed away at her home on October 28, 2016.

Sharon was born on November 21, 1949 in Washington, DC to the late Roy Francis Hyatt and Dorothy Anhorn.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Laurel and the Union United Methodist Church in Greenbackville, VA.

Sharon worked as a Finance Director with the Department of Defense, retiring after 36 years of service.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 50 years, Russell Anderson, her daughter, Wendi Fulton and her husband Joseph and her grandchildren Hunter Lilly and Brooke Lilly.  Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Roy F. Hyatt and her son Russell Anderson, II.

She enjoyed being a grandmother and spending time with her family.  Sharon is remembered by her family as someone who enjoyed shopping at antique stores and flea markets.  She loved Chincoteague Island where she would look for shells and sand dollars.  She enjoyed going to Saxis, VA to visit her friend Peggy and look for sea glass.  She is also remembered as enjoying planting flowers and taking care of the front porch where she displayed her love for the many flowers she kept.

Sharon had many friends in her life and the family wishes to thank her closest friend, Geraldine Linton Redzensky for always being there for her.
