Shirley Louise Brown

Shirley Louise Brown passed away on March 16, 2015 at her residence. She was born on February 14, 1935 in Virginia to the late Wallace and Elizabeth Vaughn. She was a resident of Detroit, Michigan for 30 years where she attended college and worked for the state of Michigan government before moving to Laurel 15 years ago. Shirley enjoyed playing cards in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Newton Brown, Jr. She is survived by her loving children Danetta, Sheree, and John Harden and James Brown; siblings Norene Walls, Nancy Tomlin, Joyce Keener, Carolyn Young, Dale Howard, Arlene Ellis, and Garnett Newcombe. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
