Shirley L Jones

After a long illness Shirley passed peacefully on Nov. 19, 2014 at home in Columbia, Maryland.
She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 8, 1923 to the late Clarence and Anna Hillman. Shirley retired after 20 years of service from Macy's, formerly the Hecht Co. She was a long time parishioner of St. Mary of the Mill's Catholic Church in Laurel.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Glenn W. Jones, Jr. She was the mother of Robin Legg (Bill), Kathleen Barton (Gary), Glenn T. Jones (Toni), and Christopher. Shirley was also the proud grandmother of Anthony (Jessica), Lauri (Christopher), Kirby (Kyle), Madison and step-grandchildren Julie (Kevin), and Matthew. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She had a loving and generous heart and will be greatly missed.
