Sonta Amelia Weisman
February 12, 1927 — January 8, 2016
Sonta Amelia Weisman, 88, a longtime resident of Laurel passed away on January 8, 2016 at Medstar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney. She was 88. She was born on February 12, 1927. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She enjoyed water aerobics which she did on a regular basis, shopping, and being around her family, especially her grandchildren who brought her such joy.
Sonta was preceded in death by her mother Mary Falconi. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years Donald Weisman; loving children Donny Weisman and his wife Sherri and Diana Cosgray and her husband Bob; devoted grandchildren Brian Cosgray and his wife Kara, Lindsey Mettinger and her husband Ryan, Nichole Kaler and her husband Ray, and Jason Weisman; and great-grandchildren Dalton Kaler, Garrett Kaler, and R.C. Mettinger.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 5-8 pm at DONALDSON FUNERAL HOME P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707 where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, In Memory of Sonta Weisman, 8300 Old Columbia Road, Fulton, MD 20759.
The family would like to invite everyone back to St. Francis of Assisi for a luncheon following the burial.
