Steven R. Atkins Atkins

Steven R. Atkins, II recently of Columbia, Maryland, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Howard County General Hospital. Stevie was born on January 22, 1978 to Steven and Mandy Atkins.

Stevie was born and raised in the Laurel, Maryland area and graduated from Atholton High School in 1996. He was a coach for the South Laurel J. Green Wolverines, a youth football team based in Laurel. Stevie was not just a football coach, but an avid fan, especially of the Dallas Cowboys.

Stevie enjoyed spending time with his family.

Steven is survived by his wife Rebecca Atkins, his three children; Evan Atkins, Hailey Akins and Alyvia Atkins. He was the brother of Brad Grimes and Michelle Atkins. Stevie is survived by his grandmothers Leona Atkins, Ruth Grimes and Yvonne Dorsey. Stevie is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other family members.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707 beginning at 6:00 PM until the time that the service will begin at 7:00 PM.
