Steven C. Chandler

Steven C Chandler 67 passed away peaceful at Johns Hopkins Hospital Baltimore Maryland.

Steve was born to Morgan 'Pete' Mason and Beatrice Phillips in Pocatello, Idaho on April 10, 1947.
Steve was later to be adopted by his dad, Sam Chandler. Steve graduated from Marsh Valley High School a week before entering United States Air Force in May of 1965. He began his computer training there and served in the CRIPTO program for 8 years. Following his discharge from the Air Force, his love for computers continued with his job as S.C. Director Asia for Wang Computer serving from Australia to the Philippines Where he met and married his sweetheart Adelina sharing their love for 29 year.
His computer skills continued to grace all he helped while working at Encore Co., Sun Micro System and finally Oracle, where planned to stay forever.
Next to sharing life with his family, work was a great place to be, to all his co-workers he loved working with you

Steve dealt with cancer in 2007; he had a bone marrow transplant in January of this year and was looking forward to a promising future. He made it a valiant fight, strong to the end.

Some of Steve's greatest pleasures included; traveling, eating out, just being outdoors, fishing, work, being with his family and of course his next best friend 'his laptop'. :}

Preceeded in death by his father, Pete Mason, step mother Wilma Mason, dad Sam Chandler, Mother, Beatrice Phillips Chandler, brother Edward Chandler and infant Granddaughter. He is survived by his loving wife Adelina, sister Pam [Darwin] Liljenquist., sister Sammy [Ken] Johnson ,brother Joe Chandler ,brother Bill [Cheryl] Chandler sons Paul [Lisa] Chandler, Sean Chandler, daughter Minerva Lindayag, and grandchildren Caitlyn, Cole, Cassidy, and Jerycho. He's going to be missed by all who love him. See you later big brother!

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707 beginning at 6:00 PM and continuing until the service begins at 8:00 PM.
