Sulfide Jean

Sulfide Jean passed away in Columbia, Maryland on May 8, 2023, at the age of 83. Born on October 7th, 1939 in Pilate, Haiti. Daughter of Major Jean and Orelia Gabriel Jean, she lived in Pilate until she moved to Maryland in 2012. Sulfide worked hard to provide for her family. Sulfide affectionally known as “Fifi” was a treasured member of the Gospel Assembly Church of Laurel. And she will be dearly missed.

Sulfide is survived by her daughter, Roberta Plesimond, her sons Fegens Jean and Dukens Dorvilien, and her step-daughter Molina Gustave. She is also survived by her sister Zanie Jean. She is preceded in death by her husband Orleus Dorvilien, her sisters Fausiene Jean, Emilienne Jean, and her step-sons Jonas Dorvilien and Junior Dorvilien.

Sulfide Jean was kind, the life of the party. She always had a kind words to share with everyone she met. She was patient and had a great sense of humor.

The funeral service will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. in Laurel, Maryland on May 24th at 9:00a.m. There will be a reception following. Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend.
