Susan Lynn Buckholdt

Lynn Buckholdt, 58, of laurel, Maryland passed away unexpectedly in her home on the morning of Monday November 10th, 2014.
Lynn was born November 6, 1956 at Garfield Hospital location in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Nancy J. Capps and Robert "Bob" Bainer. She was preceded in death by them along with her step father William "Bill" Thomas Capps.
Lynn will be thought about every day by the large family she is survived by; husband Kenneth C Buckholdt Sr., her children, Richard L. Parker Sr., Jeffrey R. Parker, Kenneth C. Buckholdt Jr. She had 3 step children, Kelly E. Buckholdt, Kate M. Buckholdt, Kevin C. Buckholdt, as well as siblings Steven Bainer, Lori Huffstetler, Tim Bainer, and William Capps Jr. The last that will miss her loving arms would be her 13 grand babies as she loved to call them; Ricky, Aspin, Gaige, Cody, Logan, David, Ari, Sammie, Caiden, Jackson, Khloe, and Mia. It is very heart breaking to know that some of the younger and future grandbabies will not know how much love their Nana truly had to give to them.
Lynn worked for NIH for over 20 years and was only a couple away from retirement. She was always very proud of the progress she made at work starting at the lower ranks of work to an administrative officer. She worked long and hard her whole life to give her family the best life she could.

Lynn was a woman of many wonderful characteristics. She was a loving, beautiful, smart, hardworking, strong adventurous, truthful, caring, and many more wonderful characteristics but above all else she was a giving and kind person. And all of these put together created a great wife, mom, Nana, and friend. She was always there for anyone she thought of as family or friends and would give what she had at the drop of a dime. She was always that person anyone could tell their problems to and she would do or say what she could to help you out.
Lynn enjoyed her summer family vacations to the beach more than anything. Anyone that knew her knew she looked forward to the trip to ocean city with her kids and grandbabies more than anything.
She lived a life full of love for those in her family, and created wonderful memories that will forever be cherished, and left behind family traditions to pass down. She will be missed and loved forever by her husband, kids, siblings, and grandbabies.
