Suzanne M. Maloney

On August 4th Suzanne Maria Maloney, 85, passed away peacefully at Westminster Healthcare Center. Sue was born on February 2nd, 1939, in Silver Spring, MD to David and Lottie Mears.

Sue is predeceased by her parents, David and Lottie Mears and her siblings, David Mears, Paul Mears, John Mears and Faye Mears Somers.

Sue is survived by her five (5) children, Jackie Maloney (Janice), Jim Maloney (Julie), Denise Simmons, Richard Maloney and Russell Maloney (Vicki), and by many nieces and nephews.

Also nine (9) Grandchildren, Jessica Townsend (JC), Kristina Brown, Ashley Newkirk (Trey), Megan Maloney, Johnny Maloney, Cori Simmons, Amanda Maloney, Ryan Maloney, and Keygun Maloney (Zoey), also Four (4) Great Grandchildren, Kingston Newkirk, Coraline Townsend, Rocklyn Newkirk and Macey Shackleford.

Mom was known as Sue, Suzie and the kids in the old neighborhood called her Momma Sue, then came her grandkids and then she was called Gee.

She loved the beach and the water. Always roaming the beaches looking for sea glass, she would always find some but ending up buying more. Then the dandelions, for some reason she was obsessed with those white fluffy weeds, but to her they were flowers.

She had her own sense of humor and wit, and she was a rebel up to the end.

She loved doing crafts and reading books. In her final days she loved a good leg and foot massage.

Momma Sue will be dearly missed

A Memorial Service will be held on at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Ave. (Rt.198 W), Laurel, MD  20707. We will be receiving guests on Thursday, August 15th at 3 pm and a Memorial Service will follow at 4 pm.
