The following Obituary was lovingly submitted by the family of Teresa Smith Edwards

Teresa Lavern Smith Edwards, age 60, passed away peacefully July 15th 2021. She was born December 16th 1960 in Eastville, Virginia to Robert Morris Sr. and Joyce Ann Smith.

Teresa attended Virginia Commonwealth University in 1979, and went on to become a Security Specialist at BAE Systems for 37 years.

Teresa was an avid reader. She enjoyed listening to music, watching sports, attending jazz/soul concerts, and spending time with close friends and family.

She was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, and her favorite player of all time was Emmitt Smith.

Teresa was a devoted mother first and foremost. She treasured her one and only daughter, embracing every moment they had together. She especially loved her role as Nana. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh.

She is the loving mother to Brittany Michelle Edwards (Stephanie Ambrose) of Ellicott City. Former wife to Michael Lee Edwards. Adored Nana of Lena Adrian Ambrose. Loving Daughter of Joyce Ann Nottingham (late Frederick Nottingham), Robert Morris Sr., Mamie Morris (late Gwendolyn Morris). Dear sister of Kerry Nottingham, Troy Morris, Tangiere Morris, Mary Jane Morris, Kevin Morris, and Robert Morris Jr. Survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.

Please join us in celebrating her life Thursday morning July 22, 2021, between 10:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville P.A.
