Terrie Ann Elmore

Terrie Ann Elmore a lifelong resident of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2012 at the Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Maryland.

Terrie was born on February 8, 1966 to Alice (nee Johnson) Bowen Scarbrough and the late Richard Allen Bowen. She attended Hammond High School and graduated in 1985. Soon after graduating she went to work for ITSI in the front office as a secretary. Terrie stayed with ITSI even through their merger with G&K and was still employed with them as the office manager.

Terrie enjoyed playing Bingo (especially at the American Legion Post 60). She was remembered by her family as "always being there for everybody", and was considered a "mother" to everyone in the neighborhood.

Terrie is survived by her husband Phillip Elmore, whom she started dating in high school. She was the loving mother of Leslie Elmore. Terrie was the daughter of Alice and her step-father Keith Scarbrough, and daughter in law of Bertha Elmore. Terrie was the sister of Richard Allen Bowen, Jr. and his girlfriend Randy and their daughter Makayla. Terrie was the niece of Gail Lepovetsky, Donna Gironda and Joe Johnson. She was also survived by many other loving family members, Terrie was preceded in death by her Grandmother Mildred Johnson and her Father in law Claude Elmore.

Terrie loved her pets and treated them like part of the family. Terrie leaves behind her two long haired dachshunds; Oscar and Mayer and was preceded in death by her sheltie, Tigger.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland. Interment services will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2012 beginning at 1:00 PM at the Lone Star Cemetery in Covington, VA.
