Theresa June Marconi

Theresa June Marconi of Laurel, MD passed away on May 5th in Silver Spring, MD. She was 93. She was born on August 24th 1932 in Gallitzin, PA to the late Harry and Anna (Rickens) McCloskey.

June was a member of St Mary of the Mills Catholic Church since moving to Laurel over 60 years ago. She was a former member of the Laurel Senior Friendship Club, the Ladies of Charity, and the Red Hat Society. She worked at Hecht’s for many years. June was a loyal fan of the Redskins and Nationals and an avid bingo player. She loved to travel but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Bud (Anthony Joseph) and her siblings William “Jack”, Larry, Edna, Rita, Naomi, and Carol. She is survived by her loving daughters Deborah Bowley and her husband Edward, and Sharon Kowal.

June is also survived by her cherished granddaughters Erin Bowley-Tirakis (Mike), Jamie Carbone (Earl), Stacey Willoughby (TJ), Lauren Kowal (Alan), Allie Dosh (Jason) and Mackenzie Blaney (Ryan) and great-grandchildren Haleigh Bowley-Canova, Gabriella & Anthony Carbone, Parker, Leighton, & Jack Willoughby, Presley Dosh, and Connor Blaney. She was also blessed to have long-time friends she thought of as family, Kathy & Rick Smith and Linda Smith.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13th from 4-7pm at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel MD 20707. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 14th at 11am St Mary of the Mills, 114 St Mary’s Place, Laurel MD 20707. Burial will follow at the church cemetery
