Thomas E. Manning, a longtime Laurel resident passed away at Howard County General Hospital on November 2, 2015. He was 82. He was born on December 8, 1932 to the late Ernest and Viola Manning in Williamsport, PA. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years and served in Korea. He owned and operated Associated Home Inspections and retired in 2000 and later worked part time at Napa in Laurel. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulton, MD.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary L. Manning; children Patricia A. Szybist and her husband Dan of Clarksville, MD, Thomas E. Manning, Jr. of Laurel, MD, Susan M. Gallegos of Laurel, MD, and Carol Lewis and her husband Tom of Upperco, MD. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 11795 Route 216, Fulton, MD 20759. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or to Parkinson’s Research at University of Maryland School of Medicine Office of Development, Attn: Patricia Bates, 31 S.
